I am part of the Application Infrastructure team, which is responsible for hosting a large array of on-premise applications across both Windows and Linux. We take full responsibility of all infrastructure requirements (compute, storage, network, databases, installation, ...). Our team also hosts our on-premise Microsoft infrastructure (Exchange, Sharepoint, ...) and is in charge of our Azure tenant.Within the Application Infrastructure team, I am currently dedicated to the Azure Platform sub-team. My main responsibility is the governance of our Azure tenant, developing and maintaining our Infra-as-Code for the core Azure infrastructure and managing the Azure DevOps platform.As part of the governance, I work with a variety of stakeholders (security, architects, internal customers) to keep our platform aligned to the standards. I align with security and architects on new standards and improving our existing standards based on evolution in the organization. I also develop and implement policies to audit and enforce the standards.I develop the Bicep code and pipelines that deploy our core infrastructure (policies, network, landing zones, ...). My main focus is on implementing large new features and improving our code to move towards full automation and CI/CD.Currently I am involved with projects to migrate old Azure workloads into our new standards and governance, as well as providing internal consultancy services to new applications being developed on Azure. For complex issues, I assist application teams in troubleshooting, solve any platform-related issues and coordinate solutions with other Azure teams (networking, security).

As a project manager, I work within the Digital Transformation Team specifically focused on Supply. I support the business and other project managers within my team on infrastructure related matters. Together we aim to rollout new capabilities and applications to digitally enable our blue collar workers and breweries.My main focus is on network and server infrastructure. In terms of network infrastructure, I have created visibility on the network status within all our breweries in Europe, creating key insights on which gaps and risks there are. I started initiatives to address these gaps and align network improvement efforts with business priorities. For ongoing projects, I focus on ensuring the proper required connectivity is in place and form the link between the business and operation teams to solve any issues.I also maintain the server infrastructure that hosts our applications together with our support vendors for our on-prem and Azure infrastructure. A key focus has been improving our Azure server infrastructure and rightsizing the environments. I also support in the monitoring and pro-actively addressing issues.I also take the lead on the management of our devices in close cooperation with our business. All devices are managed via MDM tools, where I work on improving and fine tuning the configuration itself as well as the enrollment process.

As a Business Analyst in the Technology, Strategy and Architecture offering, my main focus is on Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Engineering. I help companies examine their current architecture, define a desired target architecture and create roadmaps to help companies bridge the gap. Cloud infrastructure design and moving to the cloud are also part of my projects.Other project experience includes doing project management and acting as link between business and IT. I ensured the business remained informed about what happened and the next steps in the project, gathered their input and translated it into technical requirements.

As a systems engineer, I was responsible for maintaining all perimeter network infrastructure of KBC. This includes firewalls, loadbalancers, VPN termination, internet access routers and on-premise DDoS mitigation. My tasks including the operational management of the network perimeter, handling incidents and acting as 3th line of support for internet/network issues.On top of that, I started on automating the perimeter network infrastructure using Python and Ansible. I programmed an easy-to-use Python class to interface with the new CheckPoint firewalls, and wrote several scripts to migrate configuration from older Palo Alto firewalls to the new firewalls. I also helped plan and setup an Ansible repository together with the Datacenter Network Infrastructure team to start network automation using Ansible.

I manage the student union's IT team. We maintain the IT infrastructure hosted on nearly 25 servers (including DNS, e-mail, wiki, several websites, analytics, monitoring and two file servers) and further develop our CMS, which includes a bookstore and supports our business processes. So far we have completed and successfully launched 2 large projects.Currently we are working on overhauling our IT infrastructure. The goal is to update all our servers to run on the latest operating systems and move towards more modern software and infrastructure. Additional attention is going towards simplifying and streamlining our overall setup and move towards more automation.I also help organize a wide variety of activities, am part of the board of directors and executive board, and act as a student representative within the computer science department of our faculty.

I administrated all of VTK's IT systems, including its DNS servers, mail servers, databases, webservers, wiki's, file servers, LDAP and computers, in order to ensure they remained functioning. I also worked on maintaining and developing VTK's own custom CMS, called Litus, which also contained VTK's bookstore and automated some of its business processes.I also assisted in the organization of a wide variety of activities for the students, acted as a student representative and was part of the student union's board of directors.
