Arno has studied Industrial Science at the KU Leuven with a specialization in Internet Computing.Afterwards, he completed the advanced master of Artificial Intelligence at the KU Leuven with a focus on engineering and computer science. During his thesis he did an internship at the LIRIS research group where he developed and evaluated interpretable prediction models for treatment estimation in the healthcare context.Before joining AE, he worked as a PhD Researcher for the Augment group at KU Leuven. During this year, he worked on various projects related to explainable artificial intelligence and interactive machine learning. One of those being the AIDA project, where he worked closely together with various partners such as Digitale Methode, Imec and IDLab. During this project he designed, developed, and evaluated a prototype of an interactive personalized exercise recommender system for high school students.He has now joined AE Studio and is currently working as a full-stack developer. This entails, among other, front-end development, back-end development, and integration. When working on a project, Arno is focused, analytical and will take responsibility. He is a team player which is eager to learn and will go the extra mile.
