My philosophy is open-book management. Employees must see themselves as partners in the business. We must learn how the company works, why it works and how it is performing so that our own jobs can be done more effectively.Having extensive experience as a director, it is evident that employees cannot simply be confined to the box in which they do only what is told. Everyone must understand the big picture and the importance of their position. Businesses have a purpose that is too often lost in the minutiae that becomes our "jobs". It is imperative to teach, to learn and to improve one another as a team, without disrespect, cordially and ethically.I strive to constantly remind people of the WHY of what we are doing and to affirm my team and those in my life of the purpose and goals that we are trying to achieve. It is hard work, it takes effort, but it can be done with enthusiasm and diligence.
