Maintains assigned aircraft (Bell 212, 212HP, 206L, B, MD 500, AS350 B3, Gulf Stream Twin Commander) in accordance with operators’ maintenance program and the manufactures data. Support aircraft during the fire season for U.S. Forest Service, and Department of Forestry Alaska keeping the aircraft in mission capable readiness at all times. Performs AC Daily, A, B, C, D, E and Annual checks, have completed multiple engine, main transmission, rotor head, and mast replacements. Perform main rotor grip ultrasonic inspection. Have been certified by Bell for 7 years to perform this special inspection. Interprets installation and maintenance policies and procedures related to systems, components and sub-components. Responsible for paperwork, reoccurring AD’s and ASB’s. Diagnose reoccurring malfunctions and recommends corrective actions. Determines extent of disassembly necessary to repair or replace components. Inspect aircraft using visual and mechanical inspection methods. Diagnose malfunction using applicable technical publications and test equipment, such dial indicators, feeler gauges, and micrometers.
