Traditional or standard family law methods (writing blustery letters, threatening or using court processes) tend to lead to intensified conflict, cost and delay and will often dramatically degrade co-parenting relationships. The discussions and negotiations are about seeking what everyone needs from the outcome, while ensuring each feels a sense of control over their process. My practice is now exclusively negotiation processes - primarily Collaborative Practice and mediation - NO court. I work hard to address the complexity and the feeling of overwhelm at the outset, so you can focus on self-care and trying to re-imagine and build what the life of YOU 2.0 is going to look like.
