Responsible for the supervision of engineering projects within the Shipbuilding cluster of Royal IHC, covering both Offshore and Dredging vessels, for building on stock as well as fully tailored to customers requirements.Where projects are managed by a project manager, my role is to facilitating the project teams with uniform work processes and methods for each discipline, as well as continuous improvement of the knowledge and expertise within our group.

Responsible for the product development of cutter suction dredgers at IHC Merwede. Aiming at the highest possible added value for our customers, by listening to their needs and watching the global technology progress, we have assembled an R&D program consisting of 3 main topics:- ‘performance’ dredging; developments improving the production capacity through more understanding of the excavation process, hydraulic transport, but also by increasing uptime in severe weather conditions-… Show more Responsible for the product development of cutter suction dredgers at IHC Merwede. Aiming at the highest possible added value for our customers, by listening to their needs and watching the global technology progress, we have assembled an R&D program consisting of 3 main topics:- ‘performance’ dredging; developments improving the production capacity through more understanding of the excavation process, hydraulic transport, but also by increasing uptime in severe weather conditions- ‘economical’ dredging; developments reducing capital and operational costs, such as ease of maintenance, high efficiency drive trains .- ‘social’ dredging; developments for reducing the environmental impact during building and operation of our dredgers as well as increasing the health and safety for its crew.In general terms, all development projects have to match problems with solutions or vice versa.
