Arnold De Guzman is currently a Director and an Audit Manager in the Assurance practice of SGV and Company (also known as Ernst and Young (EY) Philippines).He joined the firm in November 2014 after passing the CPA licensure board exam in October 2014. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He has strong technical background in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). He also has knowledge in Singaporean Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).He has more than nine years of extensive audit experience in industries such as healthcare, commercial leasing (malls), real estate, hospitality (hotels), retail and wholesale, sugar and milling services, and logistics. He also has experience in handling listed entities, agreed-upon engagements, financial review, group accounts and consolidation procedure support. He was assigned to work at EY Singapore LLP in 2019 as Audit Senior on engagements for clients under brokerage, wealth and asset management, and logistics industries. As an Audit Manager, he oversees the planning, execution and conclusion of audit engagements. His primary responsibilities include designing and planning the audit strategy for the interim and year-end audit, understanding the current business and operations of an engagement, supervising and administering the experienced staffs in the audit fieldwork, reviewing the work of his audit team members to ensure quality in delivering client service, resolving audit issues and discussing such to the audit team and to the client, preparing and submitting reporting packages and reporting directly to the to the partner-in-charge and client's executives.He was awarded with EY's global audit quality rating of 1 as Audit Manager for engagements handled for year ended 2021. He was also a recipient of SGV's Digital Award for an audit engagement handled for year ended 2022.
