I coordinate the Caribbean Research Programme starting 2023, after being involved since 2016. In the program we are currently developing a Research Agenda through participatory methods and co-creation with the communities from the SSS ABC Islands. We are also developing two funding instruments, one for PhD research grants, and one open competition for smaller project grants. Lastly we are starting the Caribbean Research Platform, with the intention to support, strengthen and solidify knowledge development, capacity building and more that meets the needs of the research and wider community of the islands. Each year the programme organizes the Dutch Caribbean Research Week.Since the start of 2020 I am Project Leader in NWO's EDI taskforce, after being involved since 2018. I coordinate the Impulsprogramme for Inclusion in Academia, which consists of the funding instruments 'Advancing Equity in Academia through Innovation', 'Hestia - Impulsprogramma for Refugees in Academia' and 'Mosaic 2.0'.
