Product Manager / Marketing Manager

In this function my responsibilities where; all product introductions; debit, credit and voucher and loyalty machines for SMB and large retailers. The company had an 54% market share, security and liability had the main focus. The base consisted of 49.000 point of sales with thousands of clients in the Benelux. Another side of this job was the advising of 7 account managers in the field, as a technician. Examples are the millennium bug, GSM payments and the transition from PSTN/ISDN/X25 to IP communication of payments.The marketing activities where: organize exhibitions, relation-days, internet sites, advertising, the introduction of the products with the end users and product branding.In total I worked 8 years for this company but Getronics sold the unit after 5.5 years to ITG (Irish Telecom Group) and they changed the name to Alphyra. In those last 3.5 years I did a lot of travelling to Dublin and London because of the centralisation of the product and marketing department.From 1997 - 2001 I worked as Product Support EngineerAs a Product Support Engineer we were responsible for the testing and certification of the new products as written above. Noticeable projects: Millenniumbug, Chipknip, Chipper and prepaid calling cards digitalization.
