Created in 2012, the IATA Cargo Handling Consultative Council (ICHC), formerly COAG, connects airlines and ground handling agents. Reporting to the IATA Cargo Committee and the Ground Handling Council, ICHC’s objective is to develop best-practices to address all aspects of cargo acceptance and handling.ObjectivesThe workgroup aims to:- Include operations into cargo industry's initiatives, such as the e-Cargo program - Integrate cargo operations in related IATA standards, like the Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA)- Improve IATA manuals linked to cargo operations, such as the Airport Handling Manual (AHM)- Overlook the IATA training courses covering the acceptance, handling and uplifting of air cargo and mail- Review the standards on cargo electronic messaging regarding cargo handling activities, such as Cargo-XML- Streamline core cargo operations in the new IATA Cargo Handling Manual (ICHM)​

The Cargo Customs Working Group (CCWG) is established as a Cargo Border Management Board (CBMB) subgroup and is the successor of the CUSAG. The CCWG primary focus will be on advanced electronic cargo reporting requirements for risk assessment purposes.

The objective of the Cargo Security Working Group (CSWG) is to provide aviation security regulators with access to, and input from, a globally balanced group of cargo industry experts to ensure that the experiences and constraints of the airline industry are considered in the development of effective security regulations.ObjectivesThe CSWG will review all matters pertaining to security requirements impacting the flow of air cargo and mail. It will identify aviation security requirements as early as possible and advocate the interest of airline members through:- Industry position- Standard resolutions and recommended practices- Amendment of regulations- Mitigation of enforcement actions
