For these series I travelled through eight countries in Central Europa and the Balkans (Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Albania, F.Y.R.O.M. and Bulgaria). I read a novel from each country and combined the experience of travel with the experience of literature; in each country I interviewed people about the author of the novel, visited specific lieux de memoire and addressed themes from the novel that still form a part of daily life in these countries. The articles were published both online and in the newspaper between July and August 2015.
