I’m the Assistant to Directors of the Family Office and Tax Department for Levin Capital Strategies. Levin Capital Strategies, L.P. is a privately owned investment manager. The firm primarily provides its services to high net worth individuals. It also caters to individuals, banking or thrift institutions, pooled investment vehicles, pension and profit sharing plans, charitable organizations, corporations, state and municipal government entities, and other investment advisers. In this role I manage my departments correspondence (mail and telephone), serving as gatekeeper between client and interacting with department supervisors and coordinating operational schedules, Tax prep, filing, handling the daily money transfers (wires, checks, and journals), writing account contracts, scanning documents, managing contacts, and acting as personal assistant to five department heads. I have had the privilege in growing what started out as a part time assistant job, I started my senior year of college, into a career path. I have developed many new skills, as well as, perfecting and fostering other skills. I now am a force to be reckoned with in the office, tackling any task under my control.Before joining Levin Capital I worked for a small but vibrant law firm and the clothing company Banana Republic. Both help fostered my growth, the firm gave me experience and taught me how to thrive in an office environment, to prioritize and complete task in a timely fashion, while maintaining professional standards. Retail is where I developed my legendary costumer service attitude, and the aptitude to keep a positive outlook through the high and lows of any job. I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to connect with others. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage is, working with the client to understand his or her business objectives. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part.
