Coordinating the aerosol instrument payload and flow system onto the University of Wyoming King Air research aircraft.

• Maintained and stocked the Department of Atmospheric Science Mobile Research Laboratory • Diagnosed and performed repairs on laboratory instruments • Managed and planned field campaigns/projects for our research group – including defining objectives, collaborating with other institutions and industry professionals to achieve objectives, planning logistics (timing, housing, vehicle rentals), and installing instruments in the mobile laboratory • Trained three graduate students on how to use the mobile laboratory/instruments, how to perform our measurement methods using inverse Gaussian dispersion approaches, and how to process and analyze the data • Created standard operating procedure (SOP) documents for data analysis and instrument operation, and a manual for operation of the mobile laboratory

• Collected and analyzed measurements of methane emissions and volatile organic compounds from oil and natural gas production sites in a mobile laboratory• Quantified emission fluxes using a Dual Tracer Method and a Gaussian Dispersion Method• Utilized a FLIR camera for leak detection from oil and natural gas production components• Wrote and developed a computer program (in Matlab) to analyze our data in a new and more statistically robust way (bootstrapping with error analysis incorporated)• Led, organized and managed a three-week field study in an oil and gas basin; created work schedules for a team of 3, planned measurement locations and study design, defined study objectives and monitored progress of objectives throughout study• Helped plan and execute field studies in five oil and gas basins

Collected samples of ozone and nitrogen oxides in-flight on the NASA P-3B research aircraft. Processed and analyzed the collected data using Igor. Developed a research project with a focus on transport of air pollution and chemical tracers and presented the results in a professional oral presentation.

Analyzed WRF meteorological data from a Linux database to produce a wind shear climatology in northwestern Iowa.
