Adriana is a current fellow with the City of Long Beach's Management Assistant Program, the longest-running nationally ranked municipal management development program in California.She is a graduate of UCLA's Master's in Urban and Regional Planning program, with a bachelor's in Sociology from CSULB. Most recently, she served as a City Planning Intern at the City of Long Beach Development Services, contributing to current planning tasks, community outreach, and demographic research. As an Environmental Justice Fellow at The Greenlining Institute, she was tasked with advancing inclusive climate equity policies and supporting underinvested areas in LA County. This work culminated in supporting CBOs in Pomona as they applied for the TCC program, as well as a policy memo advocating for equitable access to climate funding. With experience as a Resident Services Coordinator at Abode Communities, Adriana has established community partnerships which includes a local food rescue program to aid in her establishing a weekly fresh food distribution to residents, secured emergency rental assistance during COVID-19, and created a college pathways curriculum. Recognized as a Merritt Scholar and Environmental Justice Field Fellow, she has actively engaged in the planning community through organizations like UCLA Planners of Color for Social Equity and the Los Angeles Planning Association. Passionate about urban planning rooted in climate justice and resilience, Adriana is committed to making a positive impact in the field.

Management Assistants will have one rotation each in the City Manager's Office and the Department of Financial Management.
