During my college years in Chennai, a chance encounter led me to AIESEC, one of the world's largest youth-run organisations. It seemed like the 'place to be', with my seniors & peers from different colleges facilitating leadership experiences & other initiatives for youths. I found my niche in the Corporate Relations department, where my team & I engaged with over 25 corporates in Chennai and facilitated the hosting of 30 interns from across the globe.Driven by the desire to explore the social sector, right after graduating with a Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication Engineering, I ended up in Bihar, pursuing a 3-month Fellowship with Project Potential.I also wanted to explore other parts of the country, and luckily, I got through the SBI Youth for India Fellowship. Through this experience, I came to realize that the social sector ecosystem in the country was quite broad and diverse. This realization led me to explore roles with the fundraising arm of a global NPO, a consulting firm handling global donors, the CSR arm of one of the largest PSUs, and a PPP project at the government of India's premier think tank.I have returned to Bihar, where I am now facilitating youth-centric and community-centric initiatives through Project Potential. It feels like coming full circle.
