The California Community Foundation (CCF) was named the regional Administrative Community Based Organization (ACBO) for Los Angeles County by the State of California. This designates CCF as responsible for leading and coordinating Census 2020 education and outreach in Los Angeles County, ranked the hardest to count region in the nation. My responsibilities included:• Advancing CCF’s census campaign by advising philanthropic, evaluation, data, communications, government, and community partners on strategies for targeting outreach and education for hard-to-count populations in LA County.• Identifying outreach gaps, funding priorities, and opportunities for coalition-building and coordination by gathering and analyzing data from hundreds of community and government partners.• Helping to secure $20M+ in public and private funding through the submission of reports, presentations, and grant proposals demonstrating grantmaking activities, unmet need, and campaign effectiveness.

In addition to continuing my responsibilities from my Graduate Student Researcher position, I also supported five doctoral students and PhD graduates with crafting research articles for journal submissions. My responsibilities included completing comprehensive literature reviews to support their research, drafting the theoretical framework and introduction sections of their papers, copy-editing their work, and providing thought partnership in the outline and product of full-length, polished journal articles.

• Researched policies and conducted qualitative research to collect data in service of identifying the causes of housing instability for formerly incarcerated people throughout the County of Alameda.• Drafted reports, interview civic leaders and community members, and crafted policy solutions that support the drafting of a legally resilient county-wide ordinance focused on system impacted-communities.
