I am a Tenured Associate Professors in the UAB School of Nursing. I am passionate about pain disparities and genomics/epigenomic mechanisms that cause and sustain chronic pain. My primary research examines the role of epigenetic modifications in chronic pain disparities and response to pain medications. I teach the scientific underpinnings of nurse anesthesia practice.
