I am an urban designer and educator based in Santa Cruz, CA, and New Orleans, LA. I work on community-based planning and design models for water infrastructure, resilience, and climate adaptation. I am a co-lead for the Water Leaders Institute, and a co-founder and member of Civic Studio, a design collective focused on multi-disciplinary projects that support learning and dialog on critical civic issues as well as community-based planning and design practices. I am also a co-founder (and past co-director and board member) of Ripple Effect, and founding member of the Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans. I've taught design studios and seminars at LSU, Tulane, and Bard Early College. I served on Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s Transition Team Water Plan Subcommittee in 2018, and on the City of New Orleans Environmental Advisory Committee from 2017 to 2018. From 2011 to 2017, I worked on urban design and resilience planning projects at Waggonner & Ball.
