Learning the hard way about business, I now manage two companies which are doing remarkably well. At university I studied Mechanical Engineering with the hope of being a pilot, however after getting a 2:1 I struggled to get sponsorship. I decided to start teaching at a private school, and guess what, financially it got really expensive. After two years of being a robot programmer I decided to change career and went into the business world, starting with a restaurant and grew my ambition to do something bigger and more challenging.Today we have The Espresso Lounge (www.theespressolounge.co.uk) and recently launched I know someone ltd (www.iknowsomeone.co.uk). The Espresso Lounge launched in 2010, just at the start of the recession, giving me a tough market to introduce myself into but I can truly say it was worth every ounce of hard work. 3am starts working in all weather conditions driving around the UK serving coffee and cakes at various events. Today, we have a shop in Tring (Hertfordshire) which is increase year on year and we hope to open another when we find the right location. At The Espresso lounge, we serve our very own special blend of Arabica Fairtrade organic coffee, cakes make by wife (Clare) and our chefs make all the dishes from fresh. December 2013 is an exciting month as soon we will hopefully be able to serve Champagne breakfasts. So there we have it, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of running a business, fighting through the recession and getting success.Results are positively gained only if your sensible with your decisions and listen to the public.
