I am a Shareholder in Fredrikson's Litigation Group based in Minneapolis. I focus my practice on complex commercial litigation. I have represented clients in a wide variety of disputes, including large contract disputes, fraud and conspiracy cases, complex construction litigation, nationwide consumer fraud and product liability class actions, toxic tort mass actions and alleged violations of ERISA. I have represented clients before arbitration tribunals, state and federal trial courts throughout the country, and various appellate courts. I have been named as an Illinois Rising Star by Law & Politics every year since 2009. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Illinois are named as Rising Stars.Some representative matters that I have worked on include:** Obtained an arbitration award of over $15.5 million in a fraud and breach of contract matter. ** Won summary judgment and defeated certification of a nationwide class of over a million consumers. ** Recovered well into the eight figures in a complex fraud and civil conspiracy case. ** Obtained an arbitration award in favor of a leading candy manufacturer upholding the validity of a non-competition provision.** Defeated a multi-million dollar claim brought under the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. ** Mediated a very favorable resolution with more than 80 named plaintiffs in an environmental contamination case. ** Defended a leading medical device manufacturer in complex medical malpractice / products liability litigation. ** Represented two separate manufacturers of building products in response to numerous class action products liability lawsuits. ** Acted as lead national counsel representing a leading engineering firm in asbestos litigation. ** Numerous victories on behalf of pro bono clients, including a young mother, a high school student, and a woman with HIV/AIDS who had her civil rights violated.
