Memory Team Key Responsibilities:Configure, test, and validate new hardware for desktop and server processor platforms. Utilize a variety of operating systems and benchmark utilities including virtualization and VMWare. Troubleshoot core errors using hardware diagnostic tools, logic analyzers, and OS dependant suites. Research new technologies and software via web, vendor newsletters, and technology journals.Modify scripts to run a variety of utilities, user access requests, network traffic, and database interactions to mimic a heavier than normal system load. Design workstation testing to stress multiple systems on both the North and South bridges to ensure processor stability. This includes attaching to NAS devices for file transfer testing, system load request load testing, and multi-user access routing. We tested several blade server designs this way as well as tera-byte RAID arrays using Hitachi, Seagate, IBM, and Maxtor drives.Develop and track test plans from inception to resolution. Testing regimens were designed to reflect real-world stress on systems. Design verification testing targeted every conceivable configuration and use for the processors under test.Document testing metrics and procedures. Build ad hoc networks, workstations, and servers to test established design goals. Communicate with internal and external partners to resolve compatibility issues.Maintain and audit hardware inventory.
