Current Projects:Manage Pronto Rollout – Technical UpgradeI am running the project to upgrade all our branch’s equipment prior to rolling out Pronto. This involves co-ordinating between branches and my technical team, identifying the network switches, printers and PCs needing upgrades, liaising with State Managers for approval on upgrades and being the escalation point for any problems.Share Point Intranet – design and implementationCurrently we have 8 brands each with their own intranet. I am designing a Share Point Foundation intranet to replace all of these. It has individual brand portals as well as HR, IT, Payroll & Training. Dev is finished and I am now building the live system.Integrated EFTPOS implementationWe are replacing all our existing EFTPOS terminals with units that integrate with our desktops and use our network to contact the bank. I am the technical contact between the bank and Rexel as we look to start with 180 units in one of our brands.Upgrading Service Now helpdesk systemWe have a loosely ITIL based implementation of Service Now that we use for IT Service Desk. We are upgrading to a more compliant version that will allow us to include Service Desks for HR and Payroll as well as include our NZ teams. I am attached to this project as technical support.Automating local printer installationsI have written a vb script that creates a branch’s printers locally rather than via our print server to save bandwidth. These are being deployed via AD GPOs and have a noticeable impact on the branches done so far. Duties:Network support specialist looking after Windows 2008 Servers (AD, GPO, File/Print), Windows Exchange 2010 Servers, VMWare ESX servers, Momentum Pro ERP, LAN/WAN networking, mobile data, desktop/laptops.Previous successful projects include migration of 140 users from stand alone domain to corporate domain, merging of 3 branches in to one large branch, setting up the WAN/VoIP of new super branch.
