I am the Managed Workspace Centre Manager for Hull City Council. My role is a varied one, but I manage the Managed Workspace Team and provide Business Advice for tenants. I have been lucky enough to be in and around business and enterprise my working life.My career started firstly with Hull City Council back in 2003, running numerous Managed Workspace Centres across the city. The roles within my job allowed me to work on various Economic Development projects where I provided business support and advice. Another part of my role is to engage with different sectors and departments within local authority and partnersThe second part of my career lead me down the path of a sole trader – where I successfully ran my own company. I feel this is vital when offering an entrepreneur or organisation any assistance or guidance. My professional qualification are;- SFEDI qualified at Level 7 in business support – I will work with you on a one to one basis. Helping you with your Business Plan, Cash Flow Forecast or any other business requirement.- A Black Belt in LEAN SIX SIGMA – to help with manufacturing and processing.-Prince2 foundation, a useful tool because of its connection with Project Management.I therefore feel I have a wealth of experience, providing mentoring and coaching to SME’s. Thirdly, my extensive knowledge of office space within the city and surrounding areas helps identify business space availability.
