Taking my passion to working for sustainability a step ahead, I got the opportunity to work with the sustainability department at University of Alberta. I qualified to participate as a consultant for a non-for-profit project through the Net Impact chapter at the university. I worked closely with the sustainability department at the university to help them align the guidelines to be followed by vendors. I worked in a team of 5 to draft a vendor code of conduct to be used a reference document by vendors/suppliers associated with the university. It consisted of certain standard procedures or methods they could adopt in order to deliver materials sustainably and manage their work environment sustainably as well. It was a success and will be used by the department.

Corporate Social Responsibility is a major part of any organization and I was lucky to be a part of it. My enthusiasm to work for such initiatives is my driving force and that is what led me join the executive committee of CSR group at Samsung. I was designated as the English Head for teaching the children at the school adopted by the organization and I was also responsible for liaison of activities involved at both the ends. My dedication to work towards social causes has always been my driving force and I perform diligently without looking for any incentives.
