Netherlands

As a trusted advisor I reported directly to the Shareholders, Management Board, and Audit Committee, providing an independent view on critical matters related to finances and internal controls, performed due diligence and special assignments.I was instrumental in developing group policies and procedures, reviewing and improving internal controls, leading projects on strategic business planning. I take pride in considerable tax savings and reducing risks resolving international tax planning issues for the group, including thin capitalization, transfer pricing, deductibility of interests and foreign exhange losses, change of domicile.

Independent role overseeing internal control across 20 exploration projects. Reported to the CEO and the Group Audit Department. Audited two exploration joint ventures and prepared over 40 recommendations to improve internal controls and business processes in procurement, projects planning, finance and taxes.

Leading group financial reporting, consolidated financial planning, management accounting, and results analysis. I developed and implemented group policies and procedures, set standards and provided guidance to the finance team in holding and subsidiaries. I successfully completed the post-acquisition integration of two subsidiaries, improved the IFRS reporting function, implemented a Hyperion system for group budgeting and actual management reporting, which resulted in improved quality and security of management information.

Moscow

I led advisory projects for RAO UES on several capital market transactions as part of the privatization and restructuring of the Russian utilities industry, engaging a cross-functional team of 100 professionals, performing carve-out audits, assisting the client with IFRS conversion, drafting information memoranda and issuing comfort letters to banks.I am proud of taking part in prominent deals and being instrumental in preparing seven companies for sale to investors and raising in total over $8 billion through IPOs and private equity placements.

Netherlands

One of my major client engagements was Eni International BV, a holding company with assets over $30 billion, for which I led a multicultural audit team of 20 professionals in the Netherlands and coordinated projects for 50+ companies in 30+ countries. My experience includes managing a project of internal control and business processes review for the first-time adoption of SOX by CISCO Europe. Another experience was managing a carve-out due diligence for Unilever selling its cleaning business to DiverseyLever.
