Strategic• As of July 2020 officer in charge on behalf of the Regional director, with all financial and administrative responsibilities;• As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), participate in SMT meetings and contribute to the overall development, implementation and review of the Arab Region Strategy; • Represent AAAR programs to authorities, donors, partners, and in various co-ordination fora; • Provide leadership support to staff and promote best practices in human resources management. Responsible for managing the sections of fundraising, MEAL and communications;Grants, Compliance, Advocacy • Overall oversight and coordination of donor engagement and all fundraising and proposal writing;• Develop and manage strategic consortium partnerships with appropriate CSOs, academic organizations and private sector firms to leverage ActionAid’s chances of success in competitive calls for proposals and tender bids; • Together with the Heads of Programs, lead the team in writing concept papers, project proposals and budgets in line with the approved country strategy;• Oversight of the contract management system; Communication • Development and implementation of Arab Region communications strategies across the organization;• Support accountability and communication across relevant departments;• Deepen the impact of communication work, identify key priorities, channels, audiences and messages to establish an appropriate public image for ActionAid Arab Region, internally and externally, in line with ActionAid International values and culture. MEAL:• support better performance and greater accountability by implementing evidence-based program/project management at the field level, in order to guide and improve performance;• guarantee the quality and the relevance of any monitoring activities and internal evaluations carried out, together with any recommendations and analysis provided.

Duties & Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.• Oversight and management of fundraising department. • Manage donor communications and representation within the humanitarian community. • Develop proposals and manage project implementation, with various donors, including but not limited to JCAP/USAID, EU commission, UN democracy fund, WLP, OXFAM, Surgir, Canada Fund, Global Affairs Canada, Hivos - Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, KTK- SIDA, Global Fund for women and Swiss agency for development and cooperation. • Representing the organization (nationally, regionally and internationally) on various occasions, whether as a public speaker, panelist, TV programs guest, representative. • Develop partnerships with other organizations on the national, regional and international level. • Following up on projects progress, implementation, and M&E reports. To be reviewed, edited and approved to submit to donors and partner • Conducting trainings/ awareness raising/ capacity building workshops on the local level (all 12 governorates) for various grassroots groups, such as; Syrian refugee women, women from host communities, disabled, Dom and gypsy, youth.• Conduct TOT, awareness raising sessions, capacity building workshops, focus groups and seminars on subjects such as, but not limited to; Leadership, GBV, SGBV, SDGs, human peace and security, resolution 1325, equality & equity, Universal Periodic Review-UPR…• Develop alliances/ coalitions with other organizations on the national, regional and international level. • Following up and trying to expand the partner network all around the kingdom.• Establishing firm relations with stakeholders in the governmental, semi-governmental, activists, trade unions, political parties, plus other sectors, to initiate discussions and advocate for certain issues related to gender equality and inclusion.

• Preparing a daily digest for news updates from MeltWater media monitoring agency.• Preparing a weekly report of updates in the ICON-UNICEF intranet site, for updated news in the UNICEF and new releases with key stories, for the MENARO comms team. • Follow up section budget, and funds expenditure through the intra finance program (vision) for monthly balance, and monthly cash forecast for upcoming months.• Processing section’s Long Term Agreements procedures including; attending CRC selection committees for justification of selection, to contracting, to following up on LTAs payments, to following up on funding for each LTA.• Focal point for the whole of MENA region communication sections on the LTAs and contracting, as well as communications staff all over the region, as well as Posts mapping for the region. • Plus other ad-hoc chores ...
