I am working with COSMIC Medical in developing a NIV helmet ventilation system for patients suffering with COVID-19. Each week we conduct prototyping, tests and clinical consultations, while keeping a high standard of documentation for expediting Health Canada and FDA approval. Having to implement a project of this type in a relatively short period of time has given me experience with effective testing as well as working efficiently and successfuly in a multidiciplianry team.

COSMIC is a team of over 130 engineers, doctors, makers, and designers from Vancouver and the global community. COSMIC has raised $25,000 in donations and also received $100,000 via the Roche Canada COVID-19 Open Innovation Challenge. There were 840 applications for projects bringing forward innovative ideas to address some of the biggest challenges and issues of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During my time at Evasc, I created a process of developing arterial phantoms from patient CT scans to assist with physician training. Along with this, I worked under a ISO 13485 QMS to assist development of a class III/IV aneurysm implant through the CE mark process and design transfer to manufacturing.

Undergraduate researcher with Dr. Daniel Coombs in the Mathematics department at UBC. Recipient of an NSERC USRA grant to analyze large datasets of B-cell receptor tracks using MATLAB and Python. During the summer I created custom scripts to find different states of diffusion in these tracks and gained experience with computer vision.

Assisted a structural engineer perform home and building inspections learned foundation, framing, sheathing, and re-bar inspections and performed them for projects around the lower mainlandread and analyzed floor plans for homes and commercial buildings
