I am currently responsible for creating school education products of mathematics at Macmillan Education, India. I have previously worked at Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Ratna Sagar and Thomson Digital in editorial function. I am an MSc Mathematics from Jamia Millia and an MBA from IIM Lucknow Noida Campus(PGPWE; 2018-2020). I have completed an international immersion programme on open innovation and international business strategy at Kelley School of Business in collaboration with IESEG School of Management in Paris and Lille, France.At Macmillan, I am involved in conducting research and identifying problems area in the domain of school education. Basis various sales reports and feedback, I need to formulate and implement strategies to create innovative products. I also conduct maths workshops for schools across India to ensure wider reach and greater acceptability of our products. Product and brand management are my key strengths. My job responsibilities also include working closely with authors and in collaboration with different functions across regions (sales and marketing, production, pre-press, vendors, freelancers, etc.) to create synergy and ensuring timely deliveries of various projects. I also won Director’s Award in 2017 for efficiently leading a small team and meeting quality standards and timelines while working on multiple projects. I had executed a detailed analysis of a project on management and cost accounting using live data and concluded by providing alternative solutions to increase gross margin.At Oxford University Press (OUP), I joined as an editor and later promoted to commissioning editor where I used to travel extensively across all zones of India and interact with potential authors to bring them on board as per different curriculum and requirement of projects. Prior to commissioning role, I was involved in creating and checking quality of print and digital products.I have written a dissertation in MBA title ‘Personalization and Digitalization: Cornerstones of Future Education in India’. During this research and working on other projects of technology innovation and strategy, I have developed a profound understanding of platform-based products in education and their significance in future education space.
