I am a dedicated MSc Biomedicine graduate from Lancaster University, with a passion for cancer research and pharmaceutical development. I have completed a dissertation project on immune evasion in bowel cancer, with a focus on exploring the role of the suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) gene family in the regulation of inflammation. I sought to contribute to the understanding of immunotherapy for bowel cancer over the duration of my project. Drawing on my background in Biological Sciences (Genetics), I have honed my laboratory and analytical skills through conducting various academic projects, including a forensics-based experimental research project. Additionally, I have gained experience in fast-paced laboratory environments in the NHS, where I have developed my time management, interpersonal and teamwork skills. My ultimate passion lies in bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and practical applications in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the context of cancer research and genomics.
