Worked on the construction management, operation and expansion of the new TSF at Eureka and Pickstone mine. Facilitating and leading the team in the initial steps towards the company adopting the new GISTM standards.

The Klaus-Jürgen Bathe Leadership Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis to selected UCT undergraduate students with demonstrated leadership potential, and at the same time develops their leadership potential through additional Programme activities, to better prepare them for eventually taking up significant leadership roles in South Africa or other African countries.

Assisting first-year Civil engineering students as they change over from high school or other tertiary education systems and move into university life. Help prepare the students as well as provides a platform for students to voice their concerns. Was the Head mentor of the programme for 2020.

Worked on designs for a medium-sized earth dam for a farm in Catandica, Mozambique and was responsible for the initial spillway designs. Carried out multiple pre-feasibility studies and designs of some potential run-of-the-river hydroelectricity stations in Zimbabwe.
