For as long as I can remember my greatest passion has been entertainment and production. It all started on my family holidays to Ireland when we would watch local trad bands play in the pubs, I always found it fascinating how they set up their PA systems before tuning up and eventually playing a jig to get the crowd up on their feet. I would often ask the sound engineers how the mics connected with the speakers, and as they explained how all the wires connected each piece of equipment I realised that live engineering was a sort of technological puzzle, that's when I knew I wanted to be live event engineer. At 15 I started to teach myself how to play guitar and produce video using Sony Vegas Pro, as live sound was only the begging of my engineering journey.After my A levels I attended the University of Leicester to study Physics. While studying my degree I continued to develop my knowledge of sound engineering through teaching myself music production and joining a band. When performing gigs I would shadow the sound engineers at the music venues to gain a deeper understanding of how to carve a quality live sound. Now that I am in industry my passions continues to drive me forward into my career. I have gained experience in live sound, lighting and video engineering, as well as videography, audio production and broadcasting. With Technology evolving at such a fast rate, there are countless new problems to solve and solutions to provide.
