I’m a Participation Officer for care experienced young people for across Edinburgh. My role is to support young people and develop services within the care system across the capital, by using participation and engagements methods. One of my lead roles is running the Edinburgh Champions Board based in the new Corporate Parenting Hub! #KeepingThePromise #CorporateParentsI am care experienced with a BA degree in Business Management from Abertay University. I also have a HNC in Sports Coaching & Development after working as a Youth Development Coach for Ross County F.C.I completed a scholarship in Denmark where I gained a Diploma at the Ollerup International Academy of Physical Education in Sport, Youth & Intercultural Studies. I worked on progressive community outreach projects using sport as a tool to improve the lives of young refugees living in rural Denmark, whilst considering new research on the trauma based approaches to participation. I have completed an online Diploma in Marketing at Oxford Business College. I have extensive experience in a handful of sectors, both in public and private. I started working in Hospitality as a KP in Inverness. Working my way up to a CDP after a few months. My career rapidly progressed whilst working in Melbourne as a FOH manager in a busy central cafe. A year later, I came home to work as a barista in the Highlands. I wrote coffee articles and networked with Scotland's developing speciality coffee scene. Whilst at university, I worked my way up to being a managerial-level chef. Working for events such as Rolex & The Golf Open at St. Andrew's Golf Links. Alongside working as a caseworker intern in the Dundee city council chambers as part of my work placement in my final year of university. I worked along-side MSP’s & councillors tackling important and relevant public issues in the city of Dundee. My degree knowledge combined with my work experience set me up for a Head of Food management position for Cairngorm Coffee in Edinburgh's west end, where I I overlooked all food operations.I founded Dùn Èideann F.C in 2023. We were the most multi-ethnic club in the league last year. So far, we have made it to the play-off finals & finished 3rd in a World of Football 5's league. We have just completed a season in Powerleague Sighthill 5aside Division 1. As a club we look to make a shift to 11a-side, after a successful 11-aside charity match, raising over £600 for charity and winning 5-1. We look to join a LEAFA Sunday league in the new year around the time of charity re-match fixture at the famous Stark's Park.
