XLN is one of the largest Telecommunications providers in the company whose goal is to deliver excellent customer service whilst providing customers with an excellent deal. Within my role I deliver 1st and 2nd line support - troubleshoot desktops and servers for any hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network issues, troubleshooting of user equipment such as iPhones, laptops, tablets and IP telephony systems.It’s also crucial I contribute to infrastructure upgrades, whilst promptly resolving issues raised to XLN’s internal Service Desk which I constantly aimed to streamline wherever possible. I must retain a working knowledge of the office’s computer systems: desktop applications used by office staff, domain account configuration, in order to assist internal users with any issues which arise.I must ensure my knowledge of the network layout and configuration within the office is kept present and up to date; be able to quickly and accurately identify problems within the network. One of my highest priority duties was to support the company’s bespoke CRM system as well as their own Salesforce driven, CRM system (used for different products).Working within a fast pace I.T support role has given me the experience of dealing with customers and being able to deliver knowledge and support when under pressure, this has also supported me with managing my own diary to ensure I stay time effective. During my time at XLN my infrastructure knowledge and troubleshooting skills have improved greatly.

Excell Marketing is a direct marketing contractor which offers bespoke marketing and sales package to businesses in the Derbyshire/Yorkshire area. Our aim is to offer a professional and direct marketing strategy where we work closely with each business to ensure we create a niche marketing package that includes web designs, telesales, networking and direct funded marketing.My main duties consist of managing the ICT department and help desk which includes Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I take charge of the design, development and implementation of all CRM systems which are produced for customers. I also work closely with the marketing and business development department, meaning I take the lead with most meetings involving new or current customers. I ordinarily supply all forms of support and training for customers as I firmly believe in managing my professional relations and accounts.I have completed various projects whilst being at Excell, each of which has challenged by ability and my initiative in different ways. The project which I am particularly most proud of is a Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 solution I designed and created for a local charity in Derby. The reason I am most proud of this CRM instance, is mainly due to the constant issues which had to be resolved due to the charity’s inhouse system being used for over 14 years. This instance was my biggest achievement because of the logical thinking and testing procedures which I had to enforce to be certain parts of system migration could be achieved as well as migration of data.

The main focus of my job role here was to ensure that any and all support was given to customers who needed advice or had any faults regarding the Microsoft Dynamics CRM instances produced for them. It was essential for me to stick to agreed SLA's/KPI's. I thoroughly believe that in order to give effective support to customers, you have to take a patient and nurturing approach especially when they are just starting to learn a massive product such as MS CRM, as I myself had been exactly where they were. On top of this my role was also to complete any system changes which included any Out-The-Box customisations as well as some minor script work (if needed).I also had to strengthen customer relationships, which wasn't really a responsibility but I did on my own accord to make sure customers were happy with the service provided.
