During my apprenticeship I was promoted into the role of Telecommunications Network Planner, this involved planning the repair and provision of the UK Copper Telecommunications Access Network. I worked on bespoke solutions for legacy network areas but also planned new copper provisions on estates of over 1000 homes. Planning included onsite survey work and customer contact with building site managers, liaising with them to create the most effective solution for the development.
