About Arron Corless

For the past eight years I have held a variety of management roles in an airport which handles over 11 million passengers. These have included Passenger Services Manager, Security Duty Manager and Security Supervisor. It has been my job to ensure that passengers have a safe and enjoyable experience prior to their travel and that staff accord them exemplary customer service.I am skilled in managing large and complex, multi-disciplined operations and the security requirements of a terminal which deals with a high volume of passengers on a daily basis. It involves constant emergency planning and exercises to ensure that any incidents or threats can be speedily contained and controlled and that all staff and business partners are fully aware of their expected responses and actions. I have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the legislation, policies and regulations entailed in airport security and I take up the role of bronze commander in case of emergencies. I have completed a wide range of training and certification to underpin my position and I have great expertise in all aspects of the airport’s operational management.Passionate about providing strong leadership, I am constantly looking for new ways of working to improve efficiency and optimise business in line with company objectives. I am responsible for coaching and training staff, to help them realise their potential. I am highly motivated and even under significant pressure, I am able to perform effectively.I am articulate, communicating well and establishing a good working rapport with airport personnel, business partners and customers. I am also resourceful, adapting easily to changing situations and I have a shrewd commercial awareness of the company’s business needs. I enjoy my work and I always demand excellence of myself in everything that I do.
