My responsibilities at Columbia Memorial Hospital included developing reporting tools for nursing staff and the IT department, consulting on the development of scripts for the system administration team, providing phone and remote support for end-users as well as on-site support to 700 employees across more than 1000 devices.

During this time I worked on a wide variety of projects including time and inventory management, cloud scaling automation and workload automation tools for various clients.

I founded VariableLabs to develop hardware devices for the hobbyist market. During this time I worked with various partners, including Wilderness Labs and GHI Electronics advising on product course, alpha/beta testing and developing modules for use with their hardware.

Scaling cloud sought to develop to to manage and automate the allocation and utilization of cloud resources for services such as Amazon's AWS, Microsoft's Azure and Rackspace Cloud.

I built OneRoof's local advertising portal, allowing users to place advertisements hyper-locally. I started the application and saw it through to the beta-testing period, after which time the company closed. During my time with OneRoof I also worked significantly on the infrastructure. I spent a significant amount of time improving the performance of OpenAds. Taking OpenAds from serving a few hundred thousand hits per day to over 6 million without having found the upper limit. I founded UnkwnDesign and immediately began designing websites for a variety of customers. A short time later we made a small pivot to focus on web development (PHP/MySQL). While I was with UnkwnDesign I worked on every aspect of the company, from front end development and design to infrastructure. For some time we provided hosting services for which I was solely responsible for maintaining. In 2009 the business began to slow I decided to shut down UnkwnDesign, and pursue other avenues.

I was the lead developer, building an app with heavy integration with many popular social networks, as well as a survey building application. I worked building the core data model, and the basic code structure. I helped integrate the Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn APIs. I was also solely responsible for managing the development, testing and production infrastructure.

I joined Saba while it was still a 2 man company, and during my time there I filled many roles including on and off site technical support, software / database developer, systems administrator, graphic designer and project lead.
