Head Of Product Design
Helping some awesome designers do their best work. —We are a team of 12 interaction designers, frontend engineersand prototypers helping to turn complex omics concepts intoseamless experiences. I support the Product Design Team and oversee the whole designprocess and strategy—from user research and prototyping,to interaction design and UI engineering. Some of the responsibilities:• Design craft + people leadership• Scaling, hiring and building structure in the design vertical• Nurturing and empowering product design as a versatile discipline• Integration of designers across the organization• Overseeing product strategy with Product and Program Management teams• Coordinating with cross-functional teams on design execution and delivery—So far, helped build 3 products and executed 100+ projects.Changed many hats in between.
Product Manager
Took over new role in order to advocate and push design improvements further. Keeping track of "investment vs impact balance" and being very practical about it.• Earned our seat at the table in the Product department• Acted and executed as a Product Development Manager on various projects. The process included; mapping the problem, writing specs and designing the solution, forming the cross-functional team and implementing the feature, tracking analytics and feedback, further improving• Helped to establish and reinforce the "Design Phase" on every project — involving designers from the get-go of projects• Established what is now the Product Design Team• Broke down the waterfall and conceived lean (and often times chaotic) design practices• Established healthy routine of 1:1 meetings with all team members• Besides horizontal team movement (as support to other engineering teams), I've established vertical movement as well (small design-focused improvements, style guide and other tools)• In charge of quarterly planning of design work• Scaled the team to 10 designers, prototypes, and UI engineers
Interaction Designer
Co-Founder
Fresh Wesh (meaning “Fresh Laundry”) was an interactive design collective that a few of my college friends and I started during our freshman year.As a diverse group, we explored and developed innovative interactions, interfaces, and media. Our work ranged from prototyping multimedia installations to celebrating early adoption and designing projects that were both cool and educational. We aimed to transcend the boundaries between traditional categories, uniting technology with artistic purpose.Since I’ve always had a passion for the web, my primary role was contributing on that front.
Design Team Lead
After scaling the business, we realized we needed more support in the design department, so we hired an additional designer. As a first-time team lead, here’s what I did:• Led a team of two designers• Managed design planning, estimations, time tracking, and project delivery• Acted as a direct point of contact for clients when necessary• Executed multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from mobile apps and games to enterprise web applications
Experience Designer 📱
Joined as the 10th hire and served as the first Experience Designer.
Co-Founder And Product Designer 🐶
My second startup adventure. Our mission was to help peopleremember the moments they spent with their pets. On the launchdate, we had 1000+ subscriptions, 600 registered users and 250active in the first 6 months. We were a team of 2 with a coupleof occasional contributors.—Pets in cosmos—a private, safe place to remember all the moments spent with your pet.One day at the zoo, I was walking by the giraffes. There was a male giraffe with a broken leg. Imagine that scene. I was so curious to figure out why and how this giraffe has his leg in cast, and thought how it would be great to have the info about this particular one. That's when the light bulb popped above my head.I've also remembered one other behavior, people usually like to make "puppy — grown-up dog" collages. I was wondering what happened in between.I have this inception where every animal — like a human — has its own identity that waits to be discovered. On the one hand, this product should enforce this connection between people and their pets, to be something like a memory saver, but on the other hand should be useful by connecting them with other pet owners, vets, and enthusiasts. With previous experience with Taksiko, we thought it's going to be easier since we are not dealing with direct businesses, at least at the start. That's how we decided to once again jump on this train and try to make something on our own.The day we released the website we had 1000+ subscriptions, which was a sign that there's maybe something in this. Because of various life circumstances, we were actually delaying to deliver the product. In the meantime, we lost the momentum, relapsed it 2 times, but in the end, we consolidated and managed to launch it. On launch day we had 600 registered users and 250 active in the first 6 months.
Co-Founder And Product Designer
My first startup adventure. As a team of four fresh graduates, we set out on a mission to transform the way people hailed taxis. After countless pitches and winning two awards for the best startup idea, we successfully secured a six-month pilot with one of the largest taxi companies in Serbia.—An easy, fast, and secure way to get your cab.I had always been frustrated with Belgrade’s public transport. With no metro, people were left to rely on buses, trolleys, trams, or taxis. While the complexities of changing buses and trams felt overwhelming, the issue of illegal taxi drivers seemed like a perfect problem to solve. This was my first self-initiated startup. As the creator of the idea, I was lucky to bring together a group of talented young individuals who shared the same passion. The concept was simple: build a reliable system of apps, offer it to both passengers and taxi companies, and eventually, everyone would benefit.Since we had no prior knowledge of the business or industry, our main focus was on creating an exceptional user experience. We knew our biggest competitor was the simplicity of hailing a cab on the street, so we needed to design something even more straightforward. The real experience wasn’t in using the app, but in reaching the destination. Our ideal solution was an app with a single button that simply said: “Get taxi.”
Web Designer
After finishing my freshman year, I faced financial difficulties that prevented me from continuing my studies on campus. At that time, the University’s marketing team was looking for a web designer, and they generously offered me a full-time position, allowing me to continue my studies online. The team included a few marketers, a graphic designer, and myself. I had no prior experience in marketing or design, but I managed to learn quickly and contribute effectively. For almost two years, I worked on a wide range of campaigns and projects, primarily focused on web design, but also including video production, print, and photography. My favorite project was the redesign of the University’s website, where I collaborated closely with the engineering team on information architecture, design, and frontend development.
