During the first four months of the program, I worked in a team of four, helping young asylum seekers integrate into the Latvian society. Keeping in mind that they stay in Latvia for about 3 months, our proposal was to regularly organize profession days for the asylum seekers – during these, they would have an opportunity to visit a representative of a profession of their choice at work and find out more about the profession.The aim was to provide the young people with practical value even though they would leave quite soon. In the result, we have prepared a step-by-step guide and recommendations for organizing the Profession Days for relevant organizations, based on our experience and feedback.In the individual project part of the program, I developed a brand selling exclusive iPhone cases created in collaboration with young talented artists.The program included regular skill seminars led by professionals in different areas (such as leadership, entrepreneurship, project management, emotional intelligence, creative thinking, presentation skills etc.), monthly meetings with personal training coaches and mentors and, of course, the amazing supportive and motivated community.
