Arshad Azmi hails from Delhi and currently a PhD aspirant. He has just completed his Master's in ELT (English) from Aligarh Muslim University. He received rudimentary schooling at the Govt. Boys Senior Secondary School in Keshav Puram, Delhi, and rigorous training in Islamic thought and tradition in Lucknow, which enabled him to analyse current socio-political issues critically.His keen interest in Urdu and regional literature as well as classical and contemporary poetry that led him to actively pursue a bachelor's and a subsequent post-graduate degree in English language. He looks forward to enhance his knowledge and skill-set in the area of film/drama script and dialogue writing and work towards realising the larger goal of constructive and progressive cinema that finds space amongst the global audience.
