I was a mechanical engineer in the Microinverter Business Unit at Enphase. I worked on key mechanical aspects of microinverter and accessory design. This included work on mechanical and thermal testing of microinverters according to relevant IEC and UL standards. I was involved in the drafting and execution of test plans for alternate vendor listing projects, factory changes, quality and reliability concerns, and design validation. I developed critical skills in mechanical test setup and familiarity with test planning based on appropriate test standards. I was also involved in the mechanical design of microinverters and related installation and assembly accessories. I worked with highly experienced mechanical, thermal and hardware teams to develop DFMEA documents, worked with the manufacturing team to develop DFM documents and worked on developing mechanical and thermal test plans for the designed mechanical parts. I gained critical transferable skills such as 3D modelling in Solidworks, DFMEA procedure and an understanding of the mechanical product design process For many tasks, I worked closely with field application engineers in proposing mechanically feasible concepts for end customer-related issues. An important aspect of these tasks was cost reduction. This experience helped me develop an understanding of the financial aspects of mechanical engineering

Worked to develop a 'Smart Root Cause Analyzer'- Developed a Python application to analyse machine run data and output efficiency parameters for the line- Developed a user friendly GUI based on TKinter to be used with minimal prior knowledge

Worked to build an 'Automated Puppet Show' for display at Shaastra, the tech fest of IIT Madras- Developed a complete mechatronic system to control puppet limbs as substitute for puppetier- Programmed microcontroller to control stepper motors attached to puppet limbs- Built 4 bar mechanisms to enable motion of puppet limbs according to a previously developed story lineEnvisage is a student-run techno-entertainment show displayed during Shaastra, the tech fest of IIT Madras. The Automated puppet show run in 2019 was an early attempt was made to automate a puppet show.
