It is a bagasse based 30.0 MW Co-Generation power plant with high pressure boiler of 67 bar (a) pressure and 140 TPH steam generation.Responsibilities:• Part of the Co-gen power plant erection team with AG, GreeneSol and HTC representatives.• Carried out all the Installation, Pre commissioning & commissioning tests of the Cogen system including BP & CE turbines, Cooling towers, Condensers, Coolers, Filters, Vacuum System/Steam air ejectors, GSC, Oil systems, Pumps etc.• Ensure the safety procedures (SOP) and workplace practices implemented and adhered to at the Power Plant.• Ensure the safe and Optimum operation of all Plant equipment within prescribed operating parameters. Take initiatives and measures to minimize the plant down time and maximize the plant availability and operational efficiency.• Ensure all activities as per SOPs and EPA and agreed schemes between client and Team.• Planning and scheduling the Power Plant maintenance and maintain the respective records.• Coordination with Mechanical and E&I Team Leaders and ensure the operate ability of all Plant equipment. • Maintain records of all Log Sheets and Log Books. Identify any operational abnormality and take preventive measures. Record all outages, tripping, failures time, duration and reasons.• Review the Laboratory Log Book and Analysis sheets and maintain records. Take appropriate measures to ensure the required quality of water and steam.• Monitoring the Steam Distribution System to RYK Mills.• Ascertain the training needs and develop training & skill improvement programs internally and externally for Operations staff.• Evaluate the performance of operations & Maintenance staff and make necessary recommendations.• Ascertain and ensure all preventive, periodic and corrective maintenance requirements.• Develop, implement and exercise Emergency Action Plan for various situations at Power Plant.

I have worked as a Shift Engineer in OMS (Pvt) Limited at JDW-III Co-Gen power plant Ghotki. It is a bagasse based 26.35 MW Co-Generation power plant with high pressure boiler of 67 bar (a) pressure and 140 TPH steam generation.RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervision of turbine and boiler erection & commissioning activities. .• Ensure the safe and Optimum operations of all Plant equipments. Take initiatives and measures to minimize the plant down time; maximize the plant availability and operational efficiency.• Ensure vigilant supervision of plant operations activities and control of operational staff.• Coordination with NPCC and RCC for load dispatch.• Coordination with Mechanical and E&I Team Leaders to ensure the operate ability of all Plant equipments. • Develop the Daily Operations Report that measures the generated & transmitted electrical power, Steam supplied to consumer and Bagasse consumption.• Maintain records of all Log Sheets and Log Books. Identify any operational abnormalities and take its preventive measures.• Take appropriate measures to ensure the required quality of water and steam. Review, maintain and record the Laboratory Log Book and Analysis sheets. • Planning and scheduling of Plant maintenance and to maintain respective records. • Record all outages, tripping, failures time, duration and identifying their root causes.• To identify & imparts various trainings to operation staff for the development and improvement of their effective operational skills. • Develop and implement Emergency Response Plan at Power Plant.• Ensure the safety procedures and workplace practices implemented and adhered at Power Plant.

• Supervision of 56 MW power plant with waste heat recovery Steam Power Plant and diesel engine by taking care of load demand, OEM recommendations, local procedures/instructions, and implementations of corrective actions in case of deviation from smooth and safe operating modes of power plant.• Load management as per requirement.• Preparation of shift reports, plant data sheets and efficiency reports.• Ascertain and ensure all preventive, periodic and corrective maintenance requirements.• Coordinate with maintenance and other sections for sound plant operations.• Monitoring and controlling the Startups/Shutdowns of boiler and turbine.• Implementation of SOPs and QEHS policies.

I have got a valuable training in KAPCO as a Trainee Engineer. KAPCO is largest combined cycle thermal power plant with 1600 MW capcity.Gas turbines of Siemens V 94.2 (Germany), FIAT (Italy) and ALSTOM (France), while steam turbines of ABB (Germany), RATEAU (France), and SIEMENS (Germany) are installed. KAPCO is supplying power on the National grid through 132 KV and 220 KV transmission lines.
