There's been a single, prominent throughline threading through my career -- from organizer to manager to nearly 10 years of Executive experience -- in the the political and non-profit advocacy world. No matter how innovative your ideas, no matter how strategic your approach, no matter how brilliant your analysis, no matter how dedicated your team.... None of that matters if you can't communicate your values and vision out to the people who need to hear them. I've learned that the most important quality for leaders in our field is to be able to convey a clear, powerful, and compelling vision to the world. It's a challenge for anyone, but particularly for new and emerging leaders in the non-profit world, it's the skill that makes the difference between surviving and thriving. I founded Convey Communications with the goal of training and coaching change-makers, especially women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ leaders, to get their vision out into the world. Convey works with leaders on media appearances, public speaking, conferences, pitches, and anywhere a leader needs to build a powerful public presence. I've coached national and international executives, candidates for higher office, emerging podcast hosts, touring authors, teams of climate scientists, grassroots media spokespeople. The list goes on. What they all have in common is a vision for a better world, and a dedication to actually convey that vision in a way that makes an impact. You deserve to be heard.
