Immersed in the company's ecosystem, I gained comprehensive insights into the leather business—from procurement processes to supplier management, financial intricacies, and operational nuances.During my tenure, I explored various facets of the business, finding my niche in the operations department. Joining Bhartiya International Ltd., renowned for its expertise in Leather garments and goods, was a significant chapter in my professional journey. My role was pivotal within the Research & Development Department, specifically in the Tannery Section, I was hired and worked under Mr. Kishore, a familiar name from ALPA Chemicals/Creative Leathers.In this dynamic environment, I delved into the realm of developing new Leather articles and enhancing existing ones. My responsibilities extended to collaborating with esteemed fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, G-Star, Armani Exchange, Coach, and Al-Saints. It was eye-opening to grasp the intricate demands of high-end brands and align our work with their expectations.One of the highlights of my tenure was collaborating with a skilled Spanish Consultant. Over nearly two months, we embarked on a journey of innovation, crafting 37-40 new Leather articles for the FW22 season. This experience taught me the art of innovation—how subtle changes can lead to groundbreaking results. I witnessed firsthand how a well-organized industry operates, emphasizing the importance of structure and systematic approaches.Working at Bhartiya International Ltd. not only honed my skills in leather making, innovation, and redesigning leathers but also provided valuable lessons in people management. This experience not only shaped my expertise but also fueled my passion for creative problem-solving and innovation within the leather industry.During my time at Bhartiya International Ltd., I had the privilege of a one-on-one session with Mr. Kishore as he was leaving. Entrepreneurship Club Experience:Secretary & Co-founder | FLYERS (Frontline Leaders & Young Entrepreneurs Resources for Startups) | Department of Leather Technology, Anna University housed at CSIR - CLRI | 2019 - 2021 Co-founded and served as Secretary of FLYERS, an entrepreneurial club focused on leather and allied industries.Acted as Secretary, responsible for organizing and coordinating club activities, including events, workshops, and networking sessions with the founding team.Held the Team Lead position for the Reporting & Recording Team (RRT), where I successfully built the RRT from scratch along with my co-lead Niklesh C. I was called back to Farida Leather Company's head office during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic to take on an administrative role. My responsibilities included managing client communication, responding to inquiries, and ensuring smooth coordination with the production team. Additionally, I was tasked with overseeing the timely delivery of finished leather from 04 different factory locations situated in Ambur, Ranipet, Dindigul, and Chromepet to the final assortment and packing warehouse in Chennai. Acted as a liaison between the production team, final assortment and packing team, and the shipping company. Despite the challenging circumstances, the leather business continued to operate in foreign countries, and my role played a vital part in maintaining its operations during this critical time.Furthermore, during this period, I also successfully attracted business from multiple foreign buyers. Remarkably, the company's revenue remained stable, neither declining nor improving significantly, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. This accomplishment underscores our ability to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity. It's worth noting that while other companies saw their revenues drop or even cease completely, Well my boss once told me that my efforts contributed to Farida Leather Company's stability, and what else does an engineering student need more than this?All of this was achieved while I diligently attended my final year B.Tech in Leather Technology classes via online mode, demonstrating my commitment and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

During my internship at Farida Leather Company, I had the valuable opportunity to work on dyeing three batches of Shoe-suede leather, each weighing 1200 kilograms. My primary focus was on the wet-blue to crust-making process, which occurs after the tanning phase. I specialized in working with Bovine and Ovine suede, as well as milled leather. This experience allowed me to gain hands-on expertise in leather processing and contributed significantly to my knowledge in this field.

During my internship at N.M. ZACKRIAH & CO, I embarked on a comprehensive journey within the company. I began in the R&D and Wet Blue department, gaining valuable insights into the initial stages of production. From there, I transitioned to the production phase, where I further honed my skills and knowledge.As my internship progressed, I delved into the Finishing department, learning the crucial steps involved in finishing high-quality leather. Lastly, I completed my internship in the ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) department, where I had the opportunity to understand the company's environmental practices and sustainability efforts.Being my first internship experience, I can confidently say that I absorbed a wealth of knowledge and skills throughout my time at N.M. ZACKRIAH & Co. It was a valuable learning experience that laid a strong foundation for my future endeavors.
