This project is a 32-story building with steel structure and concrete core.• Performed structural design to meet both strength and deflection limit states of current national and Iran building codes, including IBC (International Building Code), UBC (Uniform Building Code), ASCE, AISC ASD and LRFD (Steel), ACI 318 (Concrete) and ACI 530 (Masonry) codes• Developed and reviewed all design concepts and worked with six design engineers• Examined and inspected work progress, equipment and construction site to verify safety and ensure work conforms to specifications• Inspected fabrication and erection of structural steel• Attended all construction meetings & advised Office Manager of all construction details & issues• Prepared sketches, marked-up drawings and wrote specifications etc.
• Designed 56-story building-Tehran TowerAs a member of the Structural Engineering and Technical Board to perform an evaluation of a 56-story tall building using Nonlinear Dynamic Procedure (NDP) contained in FEMA-356. The building design relied entirely on three 180 meter spine shear walls constructed with a large amount of concrete and reinforcement per each square meter in a zone of high seismic area,. During this project we concluded that this was highly unusual and did not satisfy the current code requirements of Iran and the United States. For almost three years I trained and worked under the supervision of professional engineers and professors. I acquired knowledge on how to make resultant observations applicable in appropriate rehabilitation techniques to satisfy the buildings overall structural ductility by means of performing seismic retrofitting of more than 150 coupling panels.• Supervised, through coordinated team work with project managers and their respective management teams of various projects (roads, bridges and ports)
