❖ Developed a novel algorithm to automate characterization of corneal lamellar grafts from low-contrast optical coherence tomography images using graph theory and dynamic programming.➤ Presented a first-authorship poster at the annual meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in Seattle, WA in 2013.➤ Presented a talk at the Duke Department of Ophthalmology Annual Residents and Fellows Day 2013 (the first ever high-school student who presented at this event).➤ Co-author of two other conference abstracts; preparing two journal papers for submission.❖ Developed software with user friendly graphical user interface based on my proposed novel algorithm currently in use at the Duke University Eye Center Clinic in ongoing clinical trials.❖ Studied advanced mathematical concepts (including graph-theory, dynamic programming, and sparse representation) and novel photonics imaging systems (including spectral domain optical coherence tomography).
