Member of Soil & Crop Modelling team which focuses on providing Discrete Element Method (DEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) design simulations for agricultural equipment. This entails two-way coupled CFD-DEM simulations and working with software developers to customize solutions.

Phase 1:Conducted two-phase flow (pneumatic conveying) experiments of spherical and non-spherical solid particles. The experiment measured the particle velocity, particle concentration, distribution, and pressure drop in a horizontal pipe. Phase 2:Validated CFD-DEM coupled simulations using commercial software which included comparison of turbulence models, turbulent dispersion analysis, mesh sensitivity study, and comparison between various drag laws.

Prepared and conducted various Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations for agricultural machinery. This included conducting cohesion, adhesion, true particle density, and static friction tests for calibrating DEM models.

Conducted Depth of Cover (DOC) survey for Enbridge pipelines for line 67 and parts of line 65 (~800 km in total length).
