Amal Academy, founded in 2013 by Stanford University graduates, is an education venture that provides business and life skills training to students in low-income high schools and universities in Pakistan. The organization’s flagship offering is a three-month, 150-hour Career-prep Fellowship that focuses on training in problem-solving, teamwork, professionalism and etiquette, and communication. It is funded by PepsiCo, Acumen Fund, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Echoing Green, and Syed Babar Ali.As a Program Manager I am responsible for:- A 3-month-long “Career-Prep Fellowships” every quarter, each comprising of 24 training sessions that are targeted towards building professional skills-leadership, communication, and problem-solving, among fellows.- One-on-one counseling sessions to every fellow of the batch to guide them and broaden their horizon of thinking about a job.- Mentoring fellows in program planning and implementation of their social-impact Mega Project.- Facilitating the HR Lead in the semester hiring cycle, by conducting interviews and demos of potential candidates for PM and PA positions.
