After working as a Lecturer at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, I secured DAAD Scholarship for my Doctoral Studies at the University of Bonn, Germany. During my Ph.D., I was associated with the Center for Development Research (ZEF) as Junior Researcher and become a part of "ZEF in the city" working group. During my doctoral research, I was also associated with the University of Brasilia as a Visiting Fellow. My research is a comparative analysis of the urban planning and development of Islamabad and Brasilia. My Ph.D. exposes me to different settings and bureaucratic management in over 3 countries. Successful completion of my Ph.D. already shows my intercultural competency, problem-solving skills, openness towards different societies and cultures, and potential of managing difficult tasks.
