I write non-fiction stories, articles, and essays and go by the pen name of Arthur Keith. Since I began, I have amassed more than 2,600 followers. My most successful article has garnered more than 27,000 views. In just over a year's time, I've earned eight top writer awards in Music and LGBTQ culture, in addition to a reader engagement award on climate change. My main topics include aviation, music, gardening, pop culture, the Southwest, climate change, crime, and American demographics.

In my desire to be as well-rounded as possible in the travel industry, I wanted to know what it is like to be on the front lines with the end user in airline operations. In this position, I help to manage the check-in process and answer questions from travelers of all abilities, as well as boarding customers at the gates. Irregular operations (weather and mechanical delays, cancellations) is where things get dicey. I've learned to take a deep breath and to be very calm during such times. This has really helped to disarm customers, and they appreciate it when their own nerves may be frayed.

After two years of self-education in the areas of finance and economics, as well as thorough research (and a good gut), I created a business plan, obtained financing, and started this business. I have a life-long history of gardening and horticulture which was also self-taught. After eight years of observing growing patterns in a very specific biome (rooftop decks in Chicago), I started this business which focused on selecting the RIGHT plants, and implementing the horticultural (soft) aspects of landscaping with customers in similar situations: those with small yards, rooftop decks and balconies in the City.
