As a recent graduate from the University of North Texas, I am looking for a company where I can apply and develop my current skills along with expanding my knowledge in the fashion industry.I have many interests ranging from various crafts like scrapbooking and knitting to automotive body experience. I enjoy listening to music and playing guitar. I love watching sports, especially football (Go Cowboys)! I am a board and video game enthusiast along with being a film and science-fiction buff.I have taken advantage of numerous opportunities to develop my knowledge of the fashion industry. While at the University of North Texas, my rigorous course load taught me to become highly organized and how to spot current and upcoming style trends. During my senior year we got the chance to design a four piece collection and get to see it show it off in our senior runway show. This was an enriching experience because it helped me to learn how to multitask by working on pieces of our garments at the same time which really helped me with time management. Moreover, I have become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. Working for David’s Bridal helped me gain valuable retail merchandising knowledge, such as keeping up with inventory, customer service, and presentation. While all of my jobs have taught me to work productively and efficiently in a fast paced environment, I have also gained managerial skills due to my ability to work well with others and my desire to take on responsibility. Working with Commecci has been a valuable experience by letting me build on my pattern making and sewing construction skills. It has been a great way to learn how to work as a team. I believe that anyone would benefit from my skills, education, enthusiasm and my ability to think outside-of-the-box.
